Japanese legend Mitsuharu Misawa, 46, passed away earlier today after taking a back drop and hitting his head, which apparently caused him to go into cardiac arrest. After being taken away on a stretcher, Misawa was later pronounced dead at the hospital, though there is some speculation that he might have actually died in the ring. Misawa, aside from being one of the best professional wrestlers in the history of professional wrestling, was also the President of Pro Wrestling NOAH. His influence on professional wrestling, both in Japan and around the World, cannot be overstated. You can probably count on one hand the number of wrestlers who have truly influenced professional wrestling on a Global scale, and Misawa would be one of them. Indy Wrestling News sends our condolences to the friends, family, and fans of Mitsuharu Misawa. Read more...
