Damn That’s Wrestling returned to Landis Intermediate School in Vineland, New Jersey, this past Saturday night for another big show. Attendance was about 400, and the show started on time! I repeat, an independent wrestling show started on time! I must commend DTW for doing a great job in organizing this event.

  1. Chio Frost defeated Breaker Morant with a Black Whole Slam. This match did a great job of rallying the crowd up for the show.
  2. Jojo defeated Ryu Lee with a Senton Splash. This was a squash match. It seemed to end earlier than the referee expected as he stopped his count at two, and Ryu didn’t kick out. In a funny moment Jojo then said, “Count that shit.” The referee obliged and the match was over.
  3. Tommy Golden’s wife then appeared and cut a promo against Jojo. Jojo responded and got slapped in the face! Jojo then forcefully pushed Tommy Golden’s wife to the mat. The referees came out and helped her to the back.
  4. The Hate Breed (Rancid & Arkham) defeated Kid Kaos & L.J. Cruz after a big double team powerslam. This match had some good spots including L.J. Cruz running, jumping off his partner’s back, and hitting a hurricanrana onto a member of the Hate Breed.
  5. Tommy Force defeated Eric Cooper with a Single-Legged Boston Crab. I loved how the crowd knew to chant USA during Tommy Force’s entrance despite him not walking out with his Canadian flag.

    Intermission

  6. Cory Kastle defeated Johnny Maxx with a jumping neckbreaker. Johnny Maxx was very happy to be in Vineland.
  7. Funky White Boy defeated Evan Myers with a pin with Funky White Boy’s feet on the ropes.
  8. Patch had an open challenge. He walked out with his opponent. While in the ring Patch powerbombed the masked wrestler numerous times and concluded it with a powerbomb onto the corner turnbuckles. Then out came Crazed. Crazed looked very old as he had a grey haired goatee (It wasn’t Crazed). Patch then went into the audience and beat up two fans. The crowd was in shock (They were planted fans). Problem Child’s music hit, and we had another match. They went all around the venue. Problem Child hit Patch with baking sheets and hit a big dive off the bleachers onto Patch and Crazed. The crowd was going wild. Patch and Problem Child then brought the fight into the ring. Patch was able to get a pinfall. Another fan then enters the ring. Patch chokes him. Big Vito then appears, attacks the fan, and throws him out the ring. Big Vito and Patch then squareoff. Jojo hit the ring and they doubleteam Big Vito. They knock him out and put him in a dress. After they leave, Big Vito throws the dress into the crowd and lays out a challenge for the next show: Handicap Match, Big Vito vs. Jojo and Patch.

As usual, DTW had another fun show. The crowd was very vocal, and the matches delivered. Big Vito was a great surprise! I definitely look forward to the next one.
