The WrestlePlex in Amarillo

The evening began with a few announcements regarding regime changes at NWA-SW/Panhandle Wrestling Federation.

First and foremost (ok – whatever) “Honest” Jack Logan announcing the fact he has taken over NWA-SW/PWF. He claims he heard rumors that C.L. Jordan was considering buying out the former owners so when Logan heard they were shopping around, he scooped it up right before Jordan’s eyes.

Logan went on to state that he would no longer manage, rather he would be solely devoted to the continuing improvements of NWA-SW/PWF.

One of the first improvements he has made was in naming Mike Gentry, former time keeper, and “The Voice” Ryan Ray to replace former ring announcer David Foster.

Ray also assures fans he will no longer manage any talent. Some of you may recall, Ray was ring announcer until Foster replaced him early last year.

Another big move Logan made was in stripping “Canadian Sex Pistols” of their newly acquired tag title. On Saturday, June 20, “.50 Caliber Sex Pistol” Cody Jones and partner “The Natural” Shawn Mills faced off against NWA-SW/PWF tag champs “Texas Icons” Chad Thomas and partner “The Largeador” Michael Faith, current champs at the time.

About mid-way through the match, Mills injured one of his knees and had to be helped to the back at which time, “Beautiful” Brice Payne stepped up to assist Jones complete the match and, ultimately, get the win and titles.

Technically, the match should have been called when Mills left the ring; however, in the confusion the match continued. Because of the replacement, the Sex Pistols had to forfeit the title back to “Texas Icons.”

Now, for the actual action that took place Saturday, June 27 at The WrestlePlex:

Match one:  Jayson “Machine Gunn” Lee vs. “Dirty” Dice Murdock
Winner: Dice Murdock

Match two:  PWF Newcomer Ryan Justice vs. “Bodacious” Brian Sanders
Winner: Brian Sanders

Match three:  Dante vs. “The SuperStar” Mark Wilson
Winner: Dante

Semi-main event:  Biohaxxxard, NWA-SW/PWF Texas Panhandle Champion vs. “Showcase” Shance Williams, NWA-SW/PWF Brass Knuckles Champ
This had been planned as a title against title match with hard core rules and each wrestler putting his respective title on the line; however, Williams back out but agreed to go ahead with the match itself. After pulling several illegal moves on Bio, another NWA-SW/PWF newcomer Nemesis came from the back to teach Williams a much-needed lesson. Unfortunately, the interference resulted in the d.q. of Bio. (I still think Nemesis is AWESOME!!!! Yep, I may have a new fave! tlj)
Winner:  Shance Williams

Main event: “Sexy” Shawn Sanders vs. Chad Thomas
Winner:  Shawn Sanders
