FWF Results From "Toys For Tots & Funk For Fans 2009" In Christiana, DE 11/15: NWS Heavyweight Champion Corey Havoc Takes On The World Famous Wrestling Clown, The Nigerian Nightmares In A Six-Man Tag-Team Matchup With A Partner Even Larger Than Them (If You Can Believe That), J.D. Smoothie & Nicky Oceans Vs. Black 'N Nerdy, And More From FWF's Annual Toys For Tots Benefit Show
Funkdafied Wrestling Federation, the Delaware-based affiliate of the Northeast's leading family-friendly promotion National Wrestling Superstars, held its final 2009 show on Sunday afternoon November 15th at its home base the Christiana, DE Fire Company Hall. This was FWF's fourth annual "Toys For Tots & Funk For Fans" show to benefit the Marine Corps "Toys For Tots" holiday charity program. The crowd was a light Sunday afternoon crowd, but the fans made up for their numbers in their enthusiasm, and the large pile of donated toys. In the opening contest, "The Deranged Diva" Divine (with manager The Fighting Elvis) defeated The Funky White Boy. The normally unstoppable high-flying Funky was put off his game by the extremely unorthodox tactics of Divine, and the presence of FWF's long-time menacing manager didn't help either, and in the end, Elvis distracted the referee enough for Divine to deliver an extremely devastating low blow to Funky, then Elvis slugged Funky who was then rolled up by Divine for the 1-2-3.
The half-human half-simian Kong-arilla defeated The Illegal Outer Space Alien. Despite the Alien's size advantage, he literally could not get the monkey off his back, and got tangled up in the ring ropes while trying to deliver a baseball-slide kick to Kong, who then rolled up the stunned Alien for the 1-2-3. In a huge six-man tag-team match, The Nigerian Nightmares (with manager "Voodoo Princess" Sheeta) & their partner the nearly 500-pound Dr. Ruthless defeated the threesome of Ruff Ryder & Lumberjack Monroe & ECW original Wild Bill Wilde. Ryder & Monroe came to the ring originally planning to face two opponents, but against the three huge opponents they insisted on choosing a third partner, and spotted Dr. Ruthless' former mentor and ECW original Wild Bill Wilde in the audience. Wilde initially did not want to fight as he did not come prepared, but his former protege egged him on and he agreed to join the team. Wilde, showing his old ECW enthusiasm, immediately went after Ruthless and tried to get the huge 500-pounder off his feet with expectedly no success. Ruthless and The Nightmares pummeled all three opponents mercilessly for several minutes until Ruthless flattened Ryder with a splash in the corner and a bulldog, and The Nightmares finished him off with a Nigerian Leg Roll and the easy 1-2-3. The Nightmares got Ruthless to reluctantly sample some of their post-match meal of raw meat, and he tried to teach them to dance American hip-hop style, which The Nightmares gave up on. In their first match as a team, The Smooth Operators (J.D. Smoothie & "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans) defeated Black 'N Nerdy (Fro Bro & B. Fehrm). Smoothie announced Oceans as his new partner and ten times better than his former partner Funky White Boy. The two picked a tough road to hoe in the tough and high-flying Black 'N Nerdy, but after an exciting back and forth battle, Oceans knocked Fro Bro unconscious against a table outside the ring, then he and Smoothie hit a spiked flying legdrop on B. Fehrm and covered him for the 1-2-3. Indian Warrior Draven defeated Jack Spade (with manager Camel Jackie). The two big men traded blows back and forth until Draven planted Spade into the mat with a Tomahawk Driver and pinned him 1-2-3. In the Main Event, The World Famous Wrestling Clown defeated NWS Heavyweight Champion Corey Havoc in a non-title match. Havoc, a Jersey native, irritated the crowd in a venue only 30 miles from Philadelphia by bringing a New York Yankees 2009 World Series Championship jacket to the ring and forcing ring announcer Jason Block to wear it in front of everyone. But that was the only endeavor Havoc would succeed in that night, as The Clown frustrated Havoc with his unorthodox antics and veteran wrestling experience. At the end, the desperate Havoc brought his title belt into the ring to use as a weapon, but The Clown ducked the swing, knocked the belt out of Havoc's hands, and DDT'd him face-first onto the belt, getting the 1-2-3 and sending the crowd home laughing at Havoc. NWS returns to action in the tri-state area with a double-shot weekend this Friday and Saturday November 20th in Holmdel, NJ and November 21st in Ridgefield Park, NJ, featuring former WWE star the Native American Warrior Tatanka. FWF will hold its first show of 2010 on Sunday afternoon January 31st in Christiana, DE. Details will be announced in the coming weeks. Follow NWS on the Web at www.nwswrestling.com.
