Surrey, BC - February 19th, 2010
RESULTS: Suede Retains, Kyle O'Reilly Returns, Scotty & Tenille Win, Lush Has The Time To Kill! TLC V is less than two weeks away - and the events from last Friday night in Surrey have turned that show's Tables, Ladders and Chairs main event upside-down! "Brilliant" Billy Suede once again put his NWA/ECCW Championship on the line against a member of Egos & Icons - this time, Tony Baroni, who took the fight to the champion to try to bring the NWA/ECCW Championship home! But as Suede had the Shiranui lined up on Baroni, his partner Jamie Diaz struck Suede with a steel chair to draw the disqualification! Baroni, Diaz and Nick Price triple-teamed the NWA/ECCW Champion, only for Suede's partner, Kenny Lush, to enter the fray to make it three on two.. followed by Nicole Matthews, who evened the sides and help run off the NWA/ECCW tag team champions, as Nicole laid out Price with Roll the Dice, Suede hit the Shiranui on Baroni and the 100 Mile Driver from Lush took down Diaz! A ladder and tables were brought in, and Suede dove off the ladder onto Diaz with a beautiful Superfly Splash through the table! But that wasn't the end.. as NWA Pacific Northwest representative Michael Sweetser sent the word from the backstage area that TLC V would now be a six-*person* event - all three members of Egos & Icons would now put the NWA/ECCW tag team championship on the line against Kenny Lush, "Brilliant" Billy Suede and Nicole Matthews! After six months of exile, Kyle O'Reilly made his return to Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling last Friday night.. and Sid Sylum and The Natural wasted no time making it clear how they felt about it! Sylum stated that when O'Reilly was his cohort against Scotty Mac, Kyle was the weak link in the team, and demanded O'Reilly in the main event! O'Reilly was more than happy to rekindle the feud between himself and Sylum, and the two men tore into each other in the main event! O'Reilly showed why he was one of the best in ECCW, but Sylum was able to stay one step ahead, reversing an armbar by O'Reilly into a rollup for the three-count! A shot at the NWA Canadian heavyweight champion was on the line for whoever could score the Time To Kill - the fastest victory would earn the championship match at Quest for Gold! The Divine Prophet set the early mark with a victory in 11:35 over Dropkick Murphy.. only for El Phantasmo to eclipse that time with a victory over Lumberjack Bubba! El Phantasmo paid for the victory, though, as Bubba attacked him with his axe, only for Junior to make the save! It came down to Kenny Lush vs. Artemis Spencer in a rematch from the Friend and Foe final.. and Spencer wanted to repeat his success, attacking Lush and staying on him the entire match! Suddenly, as Spencer had the match in hand, Lush rolled him up out of nowhere to score the victory in less than six minutes, winning Time To Kill! It will now be Kenny Lush challenging Scotty Mac for the NWA Canadian heavyweight championship at Quest for Gold! Personal revenge was in mind for Scotty Mac and Tenille Tayla, as they faced the Pop Culture team of Bishop and Veronika Vice in intergender tag team action! A wrench was thrown in early as Nicole Matthews took over ring announcing duties from Drew Savage, and proceeded to make some rather catty comments toward both Veronika and Tenille, stating she wanted a shot at Veronika's SuperGirls championship at Quest for Gold! With Pop Culture involved, it was a given that it wouldn't stay two on two, and it didn't, as Volt Vegas interfered by executing a pumpkick on Scotty! Dropkick Murphy came out to even the sides and excommunicate Vegas to the backstage area! Bishop suffered a Yakuza Kick from Tenille, and then a teeth-rattling superkick from Scotty for the three-count, giving Scotty Mac and Tenille Tayla a measure of revenge over Pop Culture! As promised, Azeem The Dream went it alone against Gurv Sihra, attempting to regain the NWA Canadian junior heavyweight championship! But that's not to say Azeem didn't try to sneak his way back into the gold, attempting to strike Gurv with the title belt! As the referee helped clear the belt out of the ring, Azeem countered a bulldog into a slam on Gurv, barely missing regaining the title when Gurv got his foot on the rope! Azeem set up a senseless Sihra for a powerbomb, only for Sihra to reveal he was playing possum, small packaging Azeem for the three-count to retain the gold! It was announced in Surrey that the 10th annual Pacific Cup tournament would have a special setup, as it would be four past champions competing against four men that had never won the tournament, with each first round match featuring a previous champion against a man that had never won the tournament! Qualifying matches will begin next Saturday night in Vancouver! In other results from Surrey, Nicole Matthews scored a convincing victory over KC Spinelli. Tables, ladders and chairs.. it'll be total carnage for the NWA/ECCW tag team championship next Saturday night in Vancouver, as Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling presents TLC V! Egos & Icons put the gold on the line against Kenny Lush, "Brilliant" Billy Suede and Nicole Matthews! Kyle O'Reilly returns to the Russian Community Centre to go one on one with Artemis Spencer! And MUCH MUCH MORE! Tickets are on sale here on ECCW.com! Don't miss the madness of March in Vancouver from the number one wrestling promotion in Canada, Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling!
