CHIKARA: Tag World Grand Prix & Global Gauntlet news! This weekend, we will do everything in our power to deliver the Tag World Grand Prix 2008 in Oberhausen, Germany - but so far, fate has conspired against us. For starters, DDT star Kota Ibushi, originally schedule to team with Pac, injured himself and cannot attend. Then, the wXw tag team of Thumbtack Jack and Bernd Fohr withdrew due to outside pressures from the local Burgermeister. As if that weren't enough, our pals over at TNA decided they needed Doug Williams this weekend, and since he's under contract to them, I suppose that's their prerogative (but seriously, what a bunch of weenies!). So, we made some lemonade out of these lemons, and we are very grateful to our friends at 1PW for sending us an extra tag team to fill up the ranks, and to Claudio Castagnoli who may have to pull double-duty on Night 2 if the reunited Swiss Money Holding advances through the tournament.
