"Who's the Man?!" - The Nick Gage Benefit Saturday, July 11th - 230pm The CZW Arena, South Philly (Admission is free with $10 donation) 6/28 - Drake vs. Sami signed for July 11th's "Starting Point"! When July 11th's "Starting Point" rolls around, Drake Younger's reign as CZW World Heavyweight Champion will have spanned an incredible 364 days. The Naptown Dragon's reign as CZW World Champion has included a variety of different challengers, in a variety of different styles of matchups. His defenses have occured in not just the Combat Zone, but also all in countless promotions all over the country, and the world. He has faced Ultraviolent brawlers, high-flyers, veterans and newcomers, and both friends and enemies, but no challenger has elicited the raw emotion and even anger, that his newly signed opponent for July 11th's "Starting Point" has in the last few months. That man is the "New Horror", Sami Callihan. In recent months, the Switchblade Conspiracy's ringleader has found a way to get under the skin of the "Psycho Shooter', taking what should be a strictly professional encounter to a personal level. At May's "Blood Pressure: Rising", Callihan unleashed a bitter, enraged verbal tirade towards Younger, which included personal attacks on Drake's mother, allegations of extremely controversial and illegal "real life habits", and also a pledge of support to a former outspoken member of the Naptown Dragons who has since turned his back on his friend and the wrestling business in favor of a "rap" career. Those comments provoked a fury out of Younger that has rarely been seen from the normally happy-go-lucky Champion, and ignited the fuse for a rivalry between the two that has burned its way thru the Combat Zone for months. At July 11th's "Starting Point", Drake Younger will put his gold on the line against Callihan in a match which needs no stipulations, or "gimmicks". It will be two of CZW's hardest hitters, with plenty of bad blood, locking up for the Combat Zone's richest prize. Who will leave South Philly with the title? We'll find out on July 11th!
