Former WWE Oddity Giant Silva To Headline, And Former WWE Hall Of Famer Captain Lou Albano To Be Memorialized, As National Wrestling Superstars Makes Their Return To Woodbridge, NJ Friday February 19

He was managed by none other than former WWE superstar George "The Animal" Steele, and was a mainstay on WWE RAW, a Brazilian wrestling champion, and an MMA star overseas. We're talking about none other than the 7-foot-7 monolith The Giant Silva. And on Friday night February 19th, he will have his humongous hands full as he takes on not just one opponent, or two, or even three... but *FOUR* opponents at the same time, managed by the evil "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie in a unique attraction kown as a "Gullivers Travels" Match, where this unlucky foursome will try to pin their extra-extra-extra-extra-(you get the idea)-large opponent inside a giant fishnet. All this and more will be part of NWS' long-awaited return to the Woodbridge, NJ Elks Lodge (665 Rahway Avenue, minutes from Route 9 & the Parkway & the NJ Turnpike).

Along with Silva, the other main attraction of the night will be the 2009 Captain Lou Albano Memorial J-Cup Tag-Team Tournament. This annual event was renamed in memory of the late great WWE Hall of Fame Manager, and long-time friend of NWS, Captain Lou Albano. In the spirit of Captain Lou's managing a record number of World Tag-Team Champions, this tournament will feature some of the best tag-teams on the circuit today, including The BS Express (who were trained by TNA star Jay Lethal), central Jersey rising stars The Jock Mafia (Mike Dennis & Chris D'Andrea), Team Commando (former WWE developmental protege "Too Cocky" Kevin Matthews & NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans), plus a tag-team no one would have expected, as former bitter rivals Vicious Vinny and "The Cold-Hearted Playa" Danny Demanto have now allied themselves as The Cold-Hearted Playas.

But the tag-team that has everyone taking pause is the 800+ pound undefeated duo known as The Nigerian Nightmares, who have proven themselves quite unstoppable since their debut with NWS. Will this array of tag-teams finally be enough to wear down The Nightmares, or are they just another collection of raw meat for these behemoths to feast on. Either way, this will be an event you cannot miss.

Ticket prices are only $18 for adults and $16 for kids and seniors, and are available by calling the NWS box office at (732) 888-1704. All major charge cards are accepted, and group rates are available for groups of ten or more.
