Jersey Wrestling Elite presents: MELTDOWN July 31, 2010 at the ACE Arena 725 Sip Street in Union City, NJ Tickets $10.00 - Kids 12 and under FREE 8 PM Belltime - Doors open 7 PM
Matches already announced: JWE CHAMPIONSHIP Rob Vegas (c) vs Mo Sexton
As the fresh-as-a-daisy Rob Vegas was getting the JWE belt strapped around his waist by JWE Promoter Big Jose after winning the "Heir to the Throne" tournament over a tired and wary Neeno Capone, Mo Sexton came out superkicked the daylights out of VEGAS! Big Jose then announced that at Meltdown on July 31st, it will be Rob Vegas in his first defense of the championship against the #1 contender, "the Workhorse" Mo Sexton! Both men are undefeated in JWE and something will give on July 31st. Will "the Chessmaster's" first defense be a successful one? Or will Mo Sexton end Vegas's reign before it even begins?
SPECIAL ATTRACTION: Dan Maff vs JL Chico
JWE management has given up the official match for " Meltdown" for DAN MAFF, as the "Bayonne Badass" will go one-on-one with his trainer that got his foot in the door, JL Chico. "The Original Mr. Wonderful" is an independent wrestling legend in the tri-state area and Chico has stated it will be an honor to face his pupil in the squared circle. However, Chico has stated he will have one last lesson to teach Maff: RESPECT. Teacher vs Pupil on July 31st!
BS Express (Ed and Tom Scanlon) vs the Midnight Sensations (Chris Rockwell and Sam Shields)
JWE will definitely be getting some ELITE tag team action on July 31st, as Ed and Tom Scanlon of the BS Express face off against the Midnight Sensations of Chris Rockwell and Sam Shields at Meltdown. The last time these two teams interacted, the BS Express eliminated the Sensations in a Three Way Dance under the PRESTIGE banner's Uprising. Now, the Sensations want revenge. Will the "12 Degree Black Belt" and the "Complex" come out on top? Or will the BS Express remain unbeaten in JWE?
#1 Contender's match Neeno Capone vs Mike Donovan
During the Four-Way-Dance semifinals in the Heir to the Throne tournament, Neeno Capone and Mike Donovan had an awesome back-and-forth exchange before one Shooting Star Press gained Neeno the duke. JWE management was so impressed with both men's performance that night that on July 31st, it will be Capone vs Donovan for the #1 contendership to the JWE championship! Can the Shooting Star overcome Donovan one more time? Or will "the South Side Knockout" find another victim in Neeno's cranium at Meltdown?
Darius Carter vs Big Money Marconi
Last month at Heir to the Throne, Darius Carter had a very unique debut victory in a six-man tag with the experienced Pinkie Sanchez and Stockade as his partners. And originally, it was scheduled for "the Debonair Millionaire" to face Tony Fatu at Aftershock, but JWE management learned that Fatu backed out because of "undisclosed reasons". JWE Promoter Big Jose uncovered that Darius Carter paid off Fatu to walk away from the matchup and gain the forefit win. Jose became so enraged that he hired a man who is one of Carter's biggest rivals on the independent scene, BIG MONEY MARCONI, to face him one-on-one at Aftershock. But rumors flew that Carter was ecstatic that Aftershock was cancelled and that he was probably going to get a new opponent. Well, rumors were just that...RUMORS, as "the Debonair Millionaire" will still be facing Marconi at MELTOWN. July 31st gets a bit more interesting for Darius Carter. Can "the Casanova of Cash" walk out victorious? Or will Big Money win his JWE debut at the hands of his most heated rival?
Giant vs Giant Killer match Devious vs Junior Soba
In JWE Promoter Big Jose's eyes, the wrestlers have to make the most of their opportunities given in the promotion. And when asked for something, he will deliver. Well, a unique request for Big Jose has been accepted, as Junior Soba will face Devious in a Giant vs Giant Killer matchup on July 31st. "The Puerto Rican Pitbull" requested this contest through this promo on YouTube and Big Jose respected his chatzupah, but wished him luck. Will the Giant Killer come out victorious and continue showing his huge heart to gain a W, or will Devious do what he done over his first two JWE matches: BE DOMINANT?
"The Magnificent" Giovanni Marranca and Dan Murdoch vs Thomas "the Gate" Rodriguez and Dover
Last month at Heir to the Throne, Dover saved Thomas Rodriguez after his contest against Andrew "Tiny" Johnson after Tiny severely bruised the ribs of "the Gate" post match. Thomas and Dover gained a friendship out of that exchange. Also last month, Dan Murdoch belittled the Union City fans after his contest with Mike Donovan by calling them racial slurs and saying things need to be done "THE RIGHT WAY". JWE Promoter Big Jose has decided to give Murdoch a chance to right himself as it will be Rodriguez and Dover facing off against Murdoch and GIOVANNI MARRANCA, who has also complained to JWE management about wanting bigger matches in JWE, at Meltdown. Will the disgruntled wrestlers put their forces together and pull out a duke? Or will the Gate and Dover start off their newly formed friendship with a W on July 31st?
Envy vs Rayza
At Meltdown, two of the area's best high flyers will set flight in the ACE Arena on July 31st, as "the Sensation of Innovation" Envy and Rayza will go one-on-one. Who will win the battle between these two men and move up the rankings in Jersey Wrestling Elite?
"Too Hot" Steve Scott and Lou Nova against Team T.A.G.
Team T.A.G. put on a great showing against the BS Express at Heir to the Throne and although they did not pick up the victory, JWE management has decided to give them another opportunity, this time against the team of Lou Nova and "Too Hot" Steve Scott. Steve Scott has been sending JWE managment mass texts and videos for JWE management to put online, like this one at http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=myuploads#!/video/video.php?v=558933411615 only to get an opportunity one more time in JWE. And on July 31, Steve Scott will, but with Lou Nova as his partner as they face Killa S and Anthony Silva at Meltdown!
Vince Steele vs Joe Gomez
This should a battle of big men, as "the Remix" Vince Steele goes one on one with Joe Gomez. Gomez hasn't been seen since the first show under the PRESTIGE banner, when he jumped two wrestlers before their contest. After that, PRESTIGE/JWE management suspended Gomez for 90 days. Well, Big Jose decided to give him another shot and at Meltdown, it will be Steele and Gomez on July 31st. The rings better be re-enforced as these two men prepare to use their power on each other for JWE.
Nathan Banner vs Ray Ray Marz
"The Prodigy" is trying to make a statement in JWE. Nathan Banner has wanted main event matches, but ever since Big Jose has given him the opportunity to, he hasn't won, whether under the PRESTIGE or JWE banners. Now, Big Jose is having Banner start from scratch, as he has to earn it against the debuting Ray Ray Marz. Double R is from Asbury Park, so will he be able to give Banner some "Greetings" on July 31st? Or will the Prodigy pick up a W against the young upstart at "Meltdown"?
