Shane Andrews burned, Spur the referee held hostage, and new tag champs crowned on July 17 at Green Acres Flea Market.
Jeff
Anderson and Robbie Race battled The King Shane Williams and
Miracle Edward Idol. The wrestling match eventually turned into a
chaotic fracas as the two teams fought inside and outside the ring. The
contest ended as a double-count out. The bedlam ensued after the match
as Idol and Williams were chased to the locker room, where the duo
locked themselves in with referee Spur. Anderson and Race threw several
chairs at the cage-door of the locker room, resulting in over thirty
chairs stacked in a pile that served as a barricade. Williams, mayhap
feeling claustrophobic, grabbed spur and threatened to gouge out the
officials eye with a broken piece of wood unless he and Idol were
allowed to leave. Anderson and Race stood down; Spur was released, and
the team of
Idol/ Williams fled to safety.
Last week Willie B. Badd and Jason Maxx, the team known as Death Row
Inmates, said they would defend their EWP tag titles against any team,
at any place, and at any time: the 24/7 challenge would prove to be
DRIs undoing. The tag team champions successfully defended the straps
against Chase Owens and Cody Ices. After the match, Badd and Maxx got
into a disagreement, causing Maxx to leave the ring without his
partner. Badd, angry and unable to focus, didnt notice The Rip and
Donovan Daniels until it was too late. Badd was assaulted 2-on-1,
followed by The Rip cracking the Inmate in the head with brass
knuckles. Referee Spur was called to the ring and had no choice but to
start the match due to the 24/7 stipulation. Badd soon fell victim to
the numbers game and was pinned. Daniels and The Rip paraded around the
building with the newly acquired titles, shamelessly bragging about
their victory.
Beau James and EWP Heavyweight Champion C.M. Sigmon gave Shane Andrews
a massive beating on July 10. This week, Andrews had revenge on his
mind. James, accompanied to the ring by Sigmon, got on the microphone
and demanded respect in honor of his birthday, which he proclaimed as
Beau James Day. Security struggled to bring a large box to the ring.
Before James could look in the box, his opponent (Trooper T.) entered
the ring and the match was underway. Sigmon interfered in the contest
on several occasions. Referee Spur caught Sigmon tripping Trooper T.,
resulting in James getting disqualified. The birthday boy protested the
DQ, but the referee refused to reverse the decision. Curiosity got the
better of James and he looked in the box - the box was empty. Shane
Andrews used the box as a distraction to sneak behind James. Sigmon saw
Andrews and ran to the locker room. Andrews unloaded on the birthday
boy to the extent that James was busted open and bleeding profusely.
Sigmon came back to the ring and brawled with Andrews. James, wearing a
crimson mask, crept-up behind Andrews. Shane Andrews turned around and
James blasted him in the face with a fireball. Andrews was immediately
rushed to a medical facility. Information concerning his condition will
be released later in the week.
Jonathan McMurray, still reeling from injuries sustained last week to
his ribs, wrestled The Rip. McMurray tried to fight back against the
brute power of The Rip. But it was only a matter of time before the
injured wrestler succumbed to The Rips prowess courtesy of a torture
bomb for the three-count.
Jim Miller thumped masked wrestler Squash Mountain for the 1-2-3.
Donovan Daniels defeated Shawn Streets.
Keith Knox won over Wayne Adkins.
