New Jack City Wrestling made its return to the Armory in Freehold, New Jersey this past Sunday afternoon, 5/18. Here's a recap of the order of live events...

1. I bring out Hunter Q. Robbins, III and Destiny for an interview before the show begins. Along with them come Donnie B. and two large men dressed in black bodysuits and red, white and black masks.

2. "Dirty" Don Montoya & Julio Sanchez "The Latin Lowriders" successfully defended the NJCW Tag Team Titles against Cujo the Hellhound (formerly Dino Sendoff in ECW) & Magic w/ Big Daddy Bad in the opening contest.

3. "Hollywood" Super Nova of the Blue World Order defeated Twiggy Ramirez w/ The Blood Angels in a decent match. The Blood Angels are also a new tag team to NJCW.

4. Jack The Ripper Ryder & Lupus w/ Q.T. Ryder & Mary Kate defeated Yar & Wolf "The Lost Boys" in a tag team match. Both teams brawled back to the locker room at the end of the match.

5. In a match where both wrestlers were making their Freehold debut, Steve Corino (of MEWF, NWA, and TCW fame) defeated Billy "The Human Highlight" Reil in a match with some phenomenal moves by both men, especially Reil. One of the best matches on the show, and the crowd was really into it. For a young wrestler who has never been formally trained, Billy Reil is amazing. He just needs to get the basics down and learn the psychology, and incorporate the highspots he has picked up so easily, and he's going to go far in this business.

6. The next match was originally scheduled to be a 3-on-2 tag match between Ace Darling & "Dangerous" Devon Storm and Rik Ratchett & The Reckless Youth & Donnie B., but Devon wasn't in Freehold due to being stranded on the Isle of Cusati down near Aruba, where he was booked on another show this weekend. So it became a 3-on-1 elimination tag match. This match was a very good blend of comedy and wrestling all rolled into one. Ace pinned both Ratchett and Donnie B., and then it came down to him and the Youth one on one. Youth scored the pinfall victory, and thus he earns a title shot at Darling's NJCW Light Heavyweight Championship belt on 6/8 in Freehold. Additionally, Donnie B. and the Youth get to pick the stipulations of that match.

7. Intermission. The Lost Boys did polaroids in the ring, and several of the wrestlers on the card came out for autographs. Plus, NWA World Champion Dan "The Beast" Severn was on hand to meet the fans and sign autographs.

8. Mr. Lucifa w/ Massive Mike defeated The Overweight Lover w/ Professor Theodore Eacher in a wild brawl which went all over the building. What these two lack in the scientific wrestling department, they made up for in this brawl. Some very stiff shots with weapons. Lucifa got the pin after blowing a fireball at Lover.

9. Former ECW World Heavyweight Champion Raven defeated The Ghetto Blaster.

10. Next up was the 25-man Over-The-Top-Rope Bunkhouse Battle Royal, the winner of which earned a shot at NJCW Heavyweight Champion The Hellraiser immediately after the royal. The match began with the first 10 men entering and having their own battle royal for 5 minutes. At that point, the remaining 15 came to the ring at one minute intervals, Royal Rumble-style. Raven was the star of the show, smacking everyone in sight, including the referees, with a large metal sheet. It made for one of the more entertaining battle royals you'll ever see. The final two men in the ring were Raven and "Hollywood" Super Nova. Stevie Richards, who was in the building, but was not a participant in the battle royal, entered the ring and superkicked Raven. Nova then clotheslined Raven over the top rope, eliminating him, and Nova earned the title shot, with the help of Richards.

11. "Hollywood" Super Nova defeated The Hellraiser to capture the NJCW Heavyweight Championship when Richards once again helped him out during the match. Immediately after Nova's victory, Richards attacked him... continuing the new rivalry between Richards and the bWo.
