Last night's IWA show had an attendance of approximately 175.  The show got off to an unusual start as the referee Eric Moore came to the ring and grabbed the mic.  He went on to protect the name of his roommate Blaze and "to clear up" all the rumors surrounding his exit from the IWA.  Ian came out and got the mic and told Eric that Blaze can have his job back anytime he likes.  The only thing Blaze had to do was walk through the door and quit wrestling for KCW and he would be welcome back into the fold.

The first match saw Rollin Hard successfully defend his IWA TV title against Shark Boy in a very good match.  They started off wrestling with armbars and such to get a feel for what the other was going to do.  Rollin applied a chicken wing but Shark Boy countered with a snap mare.  Shark Boy went on the offensive working over the arm of Rollin.  Rollin turned the tide when he blocked an attempted hiptoss with a vicious clothesline.  Rollin then began to dominate as he hit his "West" side slam and then a big splash in the corner. Rollin continued his flurry with a powerslam and then a great tigerbomb. Rollin went for the tigerbomb again but Shark Boy was able to counter the hold by falling forward on top of Rollin for a two count.  Rollin quickly recovered as he caught Shark Boy on the second rope attempting a moonsault.  Rollin grabbed him while he was still on the second rope and dropped down with a Rude Awakening.  He hit his corkscrew elbow drop and went up top for a senton but missed.  Shark Boy went up top for his top rope dropkick but Rollin moved out of the way.  Rollin picked up Shark Boy and gave him the Hot Shot for the pin.

The second match was Cash Flo against Pondo in what was a surprisingly good match.  Cash Flo keeps getting better every week and this week, he brought out the best in Pondo.  Cash Flo controlled the opening moments when he delivered a DDT and a hard clothesline early.  Cash then got a chair and gave Pondo a couple of rough shots and then a legdrop onto the chair while both wrestlers were out on the floor.  Pondo got the upper hand when the action returned to the ring as he picked Cash up for an atomic drop but instead dropped him on the top rope.  Cash was straddling the top rope and Pondo drilled him with the stop sign and Cash tumbled to the floor.  Pondo sat Cash in a chair and then delivered a shoulderblock from the apron to the floor.  Pondo then hit Cash over the head with the chair and reopened the hardway cut on Cash's head from the Lexington show when he did the DDT on the floor.  Cash was a bloody mess from the cut being reopened but he continued the match.  Pondo swung the stop sign but Cash ducked and dropkicked the stop sign into Pondo's face.  Cash set up two chairs side by side in the corner and sat Pondo on the top rope.  Cash grabbed Pondo and jumped over the chairs and delivered a diamond cutter through the chairs on Pondo.  Pondo was out but Cash went up top and hit the Alabama Jam legdrop just to make sure and got the pin.

The third match was Doug Gilbert against Billy Jo Travis as a result of the happenings at the Lexington show Friday night.  Both worked the mic before the match building on the Kentucky vs. Tennessee feud and the crowd was eating it up.  Doug spit on Billy Jo and the match was on.  Billy Jo started off quickly with about ten right hands and with me giving instructions, Dougie took my advice and crawled into the corner and called time out.  Dougie said he came to wrestle and a wrestling match it was (for a couple of minutes anyway).  The action spilled to the floor and Dougie tossed Billy Jo into the ringpost and put the boots to him.  A fan handed Dougie a chair but he threw it away from him and said he didn't need it.  Gilbert then got the mic and did some Lawleresque mic work picking on individual fans and running down Kentucky. The match returns to the ring and Flash Flanigan comes out and distracts Billy Jo.  Billy turns around and is clocked by Dougie by a chain and Dougie gets the win.  Dougie and Flash continue to work over Billy Jo until they draw blood and Ian comes out to make the save.  Next week will see a first blood match between Dougie and Billy Jo.

The fourth match was a classic between Tracy Smothers and Flash Flanigan in a Texas Death Match.  Flash claims he has the greatest manager in the world now and NWO music starts to play and then out comes Jim Cornette's personal assistant the is also Sal Sincere's manager.  They do mock NWO gestures and then it becomes another Kentucky vs. Tennessee fight over the mic.  Once the match starts, Flash starts the heel stalling by leaving the ring a few times for an 8 or 9 count.  They finally start to wrestle as they exchange arm drags and hip tosses.  Tracy hits a clothesline that knocks Flash to the floor but Flash quickly gets back in the ring.  They return to the wrestling until Flash's manager trips Tracy and then hits him with the tennis racket.  Tracy is flung into the ropes and the manager pulls down the top rope causing Tracy to go to the floor.  Tracy chases the manager around the ring until he runs into the sneaky clothesline by a hiding Flash who gets the pin on the floor. Tracy is able to get up at the count of 7 and the match continues.  The second fall starts with Flash putting Tracy into an abdominal stretch and getting help from his manager Ken Bollen.  Tracy is finally able to reverse the abdominal stretch with an Uncle Slam.  Tracy follows with a back elbow.  Flash recovers and hits a side Russian Leg Sweep and a splash for the pin and an eight count but the match continued.  The third fall was quick as Flash picked up Tracy for another Russian Leg Sweep.  Tracy countered into the reverse leg sweep/DDT for the pin.  Flash waited until the nine count to get up and the fourth fall began.  Tracy hit him with a beautiful belly to belly and then went up top and hit his top rope back elbow for the pin and an 8 count.  Flash got up and the fifth fall began.  Tracy went for a Superkick but Flash ducked and connected with one of his own for the pin and a 9 count.  The sixth fall started and Tracy grabbed Flash in a cradle position but picked him up and delivered a powerslam out of it for the pin and a nine count.  The seventh fall began and Tracy hit a side kick.  He picked Flash up and whipped him into the corner.  Flash jumped onto the second rope and came off and hit a blockbuster for the pin.  Tracy got to his feet at the 7 count but the ref didn't see him.  Bollen hit Tracy with the racket and Tracy fell back down and couldn't get up by the ten count allowing Flash to be the winner.  Tracy got on the mic and issued a challenge.  Next week is Tracy vs. Flash in a Falls Count Anywhere match and Tracy is bringing a surprise for Flash to watch his back.

The next match was Bull Pain defending the IWA title against Paul Diamond. Diamond controlled the outset of the match with several rollups that netted two counts.  The action went to the floor for a second and Diamond backdropped Bull on the concrete.  The action returned to the ring and Diamond hit a Gourdbuster.  Bull was able to gain control of the match when Billy the P tripped up Diamond.  Bull hit a baseball slide dropkick and then started to work over Diamond's arm with a Fujiwara armbar and an arm snap (executed just like Hennig's neck snap).  Bull hits his top rope splash but only gets a two count.  Diamond regains control and hits a pumphandle slam onto a chair. Diamond follows up with a bulldog from the second rope but again only gets a two count.  Diamond picks up Bull and hits an atomic drop that sends Bull into the turnbuckles.  Bull rebounds out of the corner and both men's heads collide.  Bull is the first man up and he hits a perfectplex for the pin but the ref counts both men's shoulders down.  Commissioner Les Thatcher declares the title held up and orders a ladder match rematch for next week with the title on the line.  I have been impressed with Diamond thus far.

The main event saw Ian Rotten and Mad Man Pondo (Axl didn't arrive on his scheduled flight) vs. Ox Harley and Steven Dunn.  Ian used this match as a showcase for his wrestling ability in the early going.  Ian delivered a great crossbody on Ox for a two count.  Ian then hit one of the best looking belly to back suplexes that I have seen in awhile on Ox.  Dunn was tagged in and met the same treatment as Ian dumped him on his head with a T-Bone suplex.  Pondo gets tagged in and hits a DDT on Dunn.  Ian is tagged back in and he does a splash where he changes directions in midair like he was Flash Funk for a two count.  Dunn gets to his feet but he is bent over at the waist catching his breath.  Ian comes off the ropes with a scissors kick that he follows through with into a legdrop onto the back of Dunn's head.  Pondo is tagged in and they hit a double backdrop.  Pondo tags back out and whips Dunn into the ropes. Pondo does the drop toe hold and Ian drops the legdrop once again to the back of Dunn's head.  Ox and Pondo become the legal men in the ring and renew their feud in front of the Louisville crowd.  Ox hits a piledriver and tags in Dunn. Dunn hits a powerslam and then tags back in Ox.  They hit Pondo with a double suplex and then Ox uses the Rude Awakening on Pondo.  Ox climbed the ropes for his moonsault but Ian shook the ropes.  Dunn came in and hit Pondo with the Stone Cold Stunner.  Ian came in and hit Dunn with a split leg powerbomb while Ox was powerbombing Pondo.  Ox was holding Pondo and Dunn swung a chair but Pondo ducked and Dunn hit his partner instead.  Ian hit the fisherman's brainbuster on Ox for the pin while Pondo was holding Dunn.  After the match Ian challenged Dunn to a lumberjack strap match next week.

This was a great card and the Flash/Tracy and Diamond/Bull matches were excellent.  All of the matches were very good and the crowd had a great time. Next week should be interesting if all the stipulation matches are done.
