(Editor's Note: Aside from a basic spell check these results are being provided in their original form. They were saved from the original IWA mailing list.) November 4th, 1997 By: Jim Fannin The first match saw American Kickboxer defeat "Hard Rockin" Danny Dee. Kickboxer controlled the entire match with his karate and Ultimo Dragonesque kicks. The end came when Kickboxer hit the triple jump moonsault. Kickboxer barely cleared the chair on the moosault as he slipped when he hit the top rope. It showed great athleticism to recover and avoid injury. The second match was tremendous. Cash Flo and Rollin Hard put on their second best match ever as they killed each other. Cash didn't want to lose his hair and Rollin didn't want to lose his TV title. The two killed each other with a chair on the outside but they remained in the ring for the most part. They work a good style and both have improved significantly during their feud. Rollin hit a spinning side slam on Cash that received a huge pop from the crowd. Cash took over and hit his top rope elbow and the Alabama Jam legdrop off the top. The two traded numerous near falls until Rollin hit the Hot Shot for the pin. In a moment that I will never forget, Ian went around the front row and told all the fans that had been there from the very beginning to get in the ring. He let the fans that had stuck by him from the very beginning cut Cash Flo's hair. I thought that this was a very classy move by Ian to reward his dedicated fans. The third match saw Mad Man Pondo get his revenge on Debbie Combs. Pondo came out and showed the crowd that he had a 2 X 4 in his pants to counter the kicks of Debbie Combs. Pondo begged Combs to "in the immortal words of Beavis & Butthead, kick me in the Jimmy". Debbie obliged and got a foot injury. Pondo took out the board for the crowd to see again and Combs nailed him in the "Jimmy". Pondo redid all the sexual harassment spots from last week and finally won with a powerslam. The show went to intermission and Rico announced that they didn't know where Doug Gilbert was. Ox Harley came out and proclaimed himself the head heel in IWA and said that Ian is going to feel his wrath. Ian came out and attack Ox but Steven Dunn came to save Ox only to get run off by Axl. The main event was turned into a tag match and Axl went on a tremendous tirade on the mic that had everyone rolling on the floor. The next match was the three way for the title. This was a great match. Bull Pain, Tracy Smothers and Sal Sincere are IMO three of the best heavyweight workers on the indy scene. Sal had his manager Kenny Bolin who says he's Jim Cornette's personal assistant. The tennis racket was used two or three times by Sal in which he just flattened Tracy. The match spilled to the floor and Tracy hit Sal with a wicked chairshot that drew blood and gave Sal a concussion. Sal remained on the floor for about five minutes while Tracy and Bull worked in the ring. Somehow Sal got back into the ring but was flat on his back and not moving. Flash came out to ringside and distracted Tracy while Bull pinned the prone Sincere to win the title. Sal had to be carried out but Ian says that it was just a concussion and that he will be alright.
Flash Flannigan and Paul Diamond met in the semi main event. I was very surprised with Diamond in this match as I haven't seen much of his work. A small portion of the crowd didn't like the fact that the only blood so far was the small amount from Sincere and tried to start a boring chant. Most of the crowd was into the match and Flash and Diamond didn't disappoint. The match wasn't as good as the Flash/Tracy series but it was still a great match. Tracy came to ringside and distracted Flash allowing Diamond to get the win. The main event saw Ian and Axl take on Steven Dunn and Ox Harley. This match was not all that wild with Dunn involved and only Ox bled. This was a Texas Tornado match so the action was very hard to follow. Chairs were used sparingly and then Axl set up a table on the floor. Ian whipped Ox into the ropes but Ox reversed. Ox tried for the clothesline but Ian ducked down and backdropped him over the top rope onto the table. The table didn't break so they set it up again. Axl laid Ox on the table and climbed up to the second rope for a splash onto the table. The table still didn't break so they gave up. Ian and Ox went back to the ring. Ian went for a splash in the corner but Ox pulled the ref in front of him. Ian did the Double Arm DDT but the ref was knocked out and couldn't make the pin. Dunn attacked Ian and allowed Ox to recover. Ox hit a DDT onto a chair for the pin. Ian was hurt when he hit the chair and it caused an awkward end to the card. I thought for sure that the ref was going to get a beating again but instead Ian laid motionless on the mat. The guys came out to check on him and Rico asked everyone to leave so Ian could receive medical attention. Ian is alright and doesn't know exactly what happened. It could have been a pinched nerve or a stinger but he will be able to work the Lexington and Bardstown shows this weekend.
