Total Nonstop Action December 30, 2007 General Motor Centre Oshawa, Ontario It was a great show with a very hot crowd. I would estimate probably the arena was about half full, the floor completely sold out and the centre sections in the stands full. 1st match Johnny Devine vs Jimmy Rave vs Sonjay Dutt vs Black Machismo Jay Lethal(c) for the X Division title.(Devine came in with the stolen belt) Jimmy Rave was pinned by Devine Devine pinned by Dutt Dutt pinned by Lethal for the win Devine stole belt back from Lethal and ran out with it Great opener. 2nd match Earl Hebner is introduced as the next ref, comes out to huge heat and poses on second rope. Cowboy James Storm vs Eric Young Solid match with Young going over for the win. Young had the entire arena singing "O' Canada" from start to finish. 3rd match Knockouts tag match Miss Jackie & Awesome Kong vs Ms. Brooks & Gail Kim M.s Brooks and the Knockout Champ get the win with Gail pinning Jackie. 4th match TNA Tag Team Title Match LAX vs AJ Styles and Tomko(c) Great work by these four as the champs retain with AJ pinning Homicide using a handful of tights. Crowd was super hot for this one. Hernandez did his dive over the top rope, awesome to see it live! 5th match Chris Harris vs Abyss in a street fight Surprisingly better than I expected with the usual plunder of tables, chairs and tacks! Abyss wins with the blackhole slam! 6th match Robert Roode vs Samoa Joe Great match with Joe winning but Roode had great heat thru the entire match 7th match Christian Cage vs Kurt Angle (c) for the TNA World title Great mic work from Cage before this one starts telling Kurt he is in Canada now and that no one gives a shit that he won gold for the U.S.! Hebner got leveled late in this one and Rudy Charles came running in for a near fall for Cage! AJ Styles stopped Angle from using a chair but also distracted the ref from making his 3 count after the Unprettier causing Cage to yell at him to get lost. Cage re-enters the ring and takes a belt shot to the head allowing Angle to get the 3 count and retain his title!!! Great show overall and on a side note there was more than one mention of Oshawa being the site of a future PPV by Borash and Cage!
